Love Waves

Nothing is quite special to this poem. It was quite weird how I came up with it. I was just getting sick of studying for my exam and my iPod was playing Jamie Cullum's 'All At Sea', and ummm.....this poem just appeared in my head and I wrote it down. LOL weird, eh? But I liked it alrite...

I dreamt about it last night

When we together surf the tide

This happens ‘cuz we’re both alike

Love the height and the sight

The romance we have burnt my hand

When we rolled and joked in the sand

I never love the beach like this

Sailing at sea, caught up in breeze

But I always love the way we kissed

Under the sun and smell of salt

I can only be sure that our love is hot

I hope this is not a fake smile

Please dun make me cry by lifting me high

Your love waves had washed me ashore

You made sure that every minute’s not a bore

Remember the first time we met?

I showed up at your house with shirts all wet

Never meant it that way but the rain pours down

I was lost, afraid, and no one’s around

Then, there you are telling me not to worry

And suddenly, I glowed warm, not at all empty

For all that I’ve been through, I am so happy

You’re the best gift that I could find

You gave me different things all the time

And so tomorrow will be another surprise

I love the love you gave me

You’ve never made me so happy!
